A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"the beef brisket platter was $17.50 and i enjoyed the meal. the sweet tea was really good. the brisket was tender. it was a good bbq meal but it was not mind blowingly amazing. location is rustic and has its charm. looks to be take-out only. maybe they deliver i am not sure."
"Fantastic BBQ, tried the brisket and ribs both amazing. All the sides we tried were great too and also the bread pudding. Super clean inside and everyone there was friendly. Will definitely be back soon to try pulled pork."
"Everything we've had is very good. Brisket and mac and cheese were great! The portions are just silly big! Lots of food and its so yummy! Jimmy did a great job putting the menu together and preparing it his way. The online ordering is smooth and straightforward. Pickup is easy and quick. We are just really enjoying it."
"This place is AMAZING! Get a great amount for the price. Always fresh, friendly service, best BB I've ever had. We order almost every week. My son loves the lemonade. Hope this place stays and only gets bigger n better."
"DELICIOUS! Stop by and give them a try. We got the sampler with two sides. Everything was tasty. The sampler included pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. We found out later the sampler changes and isn't the same every day. At any rate, the pork was moist and oh-so-good. The ribs were terrific with the meat very loose on the bone - no bone-chewing required. The brisket was outstanding with lightly blackened edges. The sides were equally tasty mac-n-cheese and slaw. The meats were great without BBQ sauce. The sauce was good; however, I detected a mustard undertone and opted to eat most without sauce. Their site lists the sampler as serving one to two. I say it could easily server three smaller appetites."
"Decided to run up to Red Door BBQ in Delaware. The owner is Jimmy Green. In a prior business, he owned Jimmy G’s Food Truck. He started smoking back in 1999. All his meats are smoked in a Southern Pride smoker. On to the food. I ordered a Brisket sandwich, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, corn pudding and baked beans. The coleslaw has a sweetness and a tang to it. It gets your taste buds going. The Mac and cheese was definitely homemade with a nice creamy sauce. Yummmy. The corn pudding was definitely a star, it was nice and moist that blended well with the corn. Delicious. The Baked Beans were some of the best out there. Made with chunks of brisket mixed with a great sauce. Doesn’t get any better. On to the star of the show, the Brisket Sandwich, oh my goodness, smoked with cherry wood, it was nice and moist, smoked perfectly. Definitely some of the best out there. Put it on an Auddino’s sub bun and add a little BBQ sauce. Off the chart!!! I truly appreciate that Jimmy took the time to chat with me. Learned a lot of his history that inner mingled with a number of BBQ legends locally that I met. Definitely will be back. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to check out some great BBQ."
"I was not finding an inspiring BBQ joint on Google Maps. I was going to settle on one of the chains in Columbus. Then I saw a local gem that caught my eye. I had my BBQ instincts kick in and I put Red Door BBQ into the GPS. So parking for the building sucks. Oh well, you want some Q don’t ya? So you park your vehicle or lock up your ten speed and wander inside. I’d recommend you get the sampler, like I did. It’s big enough you can share with someone but small enough you can gorge yourself, like I did. For the meats, you get (3) ribs, a nice pile of brisket and a choice. I’d suggest you pick chicken, like I did. Get some of that new white sauce they’re sampling, like I did. You’ll probably have a hard time selecting which meat was your favorite, like I did. You’ll find the meat is good enough to eat on its own, but those sauces are welcome, yup, just like I did. My mac & cheese and sweet corn bake were both delicious, but I’d like to try that potato salad. I know if I’m ever back in the area, I’m stopping back in here and you should as well, just like I did."
"Great food, mile high pork sandwich. Mac and cheese is yummy. BBQ sauce on the sweeter side. Great service. We will be back!"
